This project involved the re-lining of Diesel Tank Bunds with a Sprayglass SJ system, including the removal of loose or damaged existing bitumen.

The Sprayglass SJ System is a robust lining solution engineered to protect concrete and steel substrates from corrosion and chemical degradation.
This heavy-duty system, composed of polyester or vinyl ester resins reinforced with chopped strand glass fibre mat, is applied in a multi-layer process to a nominal thickness of 2.5 to 3 mm. The system includes:
- SJ Primer: A specially formulated primer designed for optimal adhesion to the substrate.
- Silica-Filled Base Coat: A resilient base layer approximately 1.5 mm thick.
- Glass Fibre Mat: A layer of 600 gsm chopped strand glass fibre mat impregnated with resin for added strength and durability.
- Surfacing Tissue and Resin: A reinforcing layer to ensure a smooth and even finish.
- Waxed Resin Rich Top Coat: A protective topcoat that provides a barrier against environmental factors and chemicals.
