Working in a safe manor in line with company rules, regulations, policies, procedures as well as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, other relevant Acts and Regulations as well as Approved Codes of practice you will carry out:
- Driving a range of company HGVs and understanding their specific operation to carry out tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- The undertaking of (working in teams or by yourself)
- Fuel uplifts and fuel deliveries*
- Fuel filtering / fuel polishing and associated aspects*
- Operating the fleet of Vac Tankers for their various purposes*
- Using jetting equipment on Vac Tankers in excess of 6000 psi
- Interceptor cleaning, uplift and disposal*
- Carrying out and completing the required paperwork covering ADR regulations as well as the Hazardous Waste Regulations
- Driving a range of company LGVs to complete various duties
- Assist the wider team on various duties
* Mainly hazardous products in accordance with ADR and Hazardous Waste Regulations
Other Duties
Assisting with (non-exhaustive):
- Tank preparation and painting
- Fuel filtration with smaller units
- Fuel sampling
- OSR reporting
Working in a high performing team you will undertake the following daily tasks:
- Understanding, adherence and acceptance of Risk Assessments and Method statements as well as the ability to complete Dynamic Risk Assessments
- Utilising a variety of tools to remove hazardous materials whilst always working in a safe manner to avoid taking unnecessary risks
- Co-operating with line management in ensuring that personnel, contractors and visitors comply with site rules.
- Work alongside your team in the development of equipment, plant and systems to improve safety, health, environmental and quality standards and operational efficiency.
- Working with everyone to promote safety, health, environmental and quality awareness with personnel, contractors and visitors.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times.
- Report faults on plant, equipment and infrastructure and any other operational difficulties to a member of the line management team, as they occur.
- Assist in the maintenance of plant / vehicles / equipment
- Carry out regular training when deemed appropriate and help others with their training needs where requiredOther, must:
- Be IT literate (use of mobile apps included in the role to receive and action jobs)
- Be prepared to work away from home for multiple nights at a time / up to 4 nights per week
- Be prepared to work outside in all weather
- Be prepared to work flexible hours where required by the business
- Happy to work as part of a team or autonomously (where required)Qualifications and education requirements
- Valid and in date licence minimum Category C
- Valid and in date ADR
- Valid and in date DCPC Card
- Valid and in date drivers’ licence with a minimum of 3 points
- Valid and in date driver tachograph card

- Safety passports preferred but not essential: CSCS / SPA / CCNSG
- Always wear your company branded and signed for uniform
- Always wear task specific PPE when carrying out jobs
- Company vehicles to be kept clean, tidy and presentable
- Company vehicles to be driven safely and the user understands that vehicles are tracked and monitored
